Hang gliding - Most Basic Form of Flight
According to hang glider pilots, flying a hang glider is the most
basic form of flight, just a wing and the wind. This DVD allows you
to experience the pilot's
perspective on this freedom of flight from an on board
camera.
The geography of the town of Macedon NY is composed of
relatively flat farm lands and gentle rolling hills. Though esthetically
pleasing, it does not offer an elevated location for foot launching
of a hang glider. The folks at Finger Lakes Aerosports Park have
solved this problem by using an ultralight aircraft to tow
hang gliders into the air. This video includes a description of
the hang gliding equipment and safety procedures employed
for towing hang gliders into the sky behind an ultralight tug plane.
